Making looks in looks in looks

Post by gooze » Fri May 16, 2008 4:47 am

Is it desirable to have nesting looks?
Sometimes you make a position with a certain zoom and then from that position another position where you don't change the zoom, edge and iris. When you save that as a second position it has nested information for lens. If you would change the size in the first position, it also changes in the second.
Sometimes you want this, but sometimes you don't want it. Would it be good to make this an option?

You need to be aware of your red deltas. The function S12- SELECT S5-ATTRIBUTE FAMILY S1ALL used to 'blow off' the reference to palettes and force raw values. We changed that recently so it only puts deltas on the palette names. I think you now need to do a twiddle to blow off the palette ref.

I, personally, like nesting.
