online with virtual windows

I run a windows xp pro on my macbook using parallels desktops.
When i plug my dongle palette software stays offline.windows recognizes it but it doesn't go online.
I haven't got this problem with my pc laptop.
Is it due to parallels?
Is it possible to run palette online on a virtual pc?

I run the software with Boot Camp and that works fine. I prefer not to plug in the dongle though because it slows down the computer considerately. I use the remote video, and remote fucus unit a lot.
