Audio control of FX

Post by amoyer » Mon Jun 23, 2008 4:56 pm

In our discussions at the theatre, one of the things we are going to miss on the LP Live that we use a lot, especially during dance recital season (which is thankfully almost over), is the audio input on our 550i. Having the FX step along with the music without really having to make any adjustments has made our life quite simple at times. Is there any way this can get implemented in the LP consoles? The motherboards in all the LP consoles do have audio connectors on them don't they? I suppose my other option is to setup take get our audio processor to output a signal to the contact closure (crossover and maybe a gate to get me the trigger). The unfortunate problem with that would be not having an audio threshold control, which is why I would not prefer this method.
