+ channel list @ level

Post by TaineGilliam » Wed Oct 24, 2007 4:59 pm

I'm a big fan of the now working syntax:
1+3 @ 45 *
+ 5 @ 5 *

This sets 1 + 3 + 5 @ 50. Very handy and it also works with -(minus).

What I can't figure out is how the autocomplete feature really works. For example:

1 + 3 + 5 @ 34 * REL REL REL
1

At this point the command line shows me <1+3+5>1
This seems to be the beginning of an auto complete for previous selection. What key finishes the selection?

Even better is:

1 @ 45 *
+ 2 / 8 @ 45*
- 5 @ + 5 *
5 @ 0 *
1

shows 1/4+6/8 but how do I complete?

Just like (I think) on the 500 Shift-Enter did a repeat of the last command line, the intention was that shift-enter should accept the suggested auto-complete (haven't used it in a bit, so give it a try and let us know if/when you run into glitches).

Shift Enter is the ticket and is much better than the 500's last command. But to be clear, autocomplete is ONLY for fixture selection. We don't have a 'repeat last command', but what it is the closest match on the last 10 selections you've recently typed with Shift Enter completing it. It's a faster way of the old S12-Select S12-Previous or S12-Select and S12(hold for list) then arrow then enter. It rocks!
