Offline software for 500 ML?????

Post by jkpitzer » Wed Jul 27, 2016 1:34 pm

I am looking into the purchase of a 500 ML console. However, it is very important that we have the ability to program a show from a laptop when not in the theatre. When I look on the web site, I do not see any software downloads for this console. Could someone please tell me if there is a way to edit shows offline? If not, I may have to look into another console.

Still no reply? Not even from a Strand employee. I am becoming very hesitant about purchasing any Strand product if one of their employees cannot even answer questions on their own forum. I need to purchase a board this week and I cannot find out basic information. This is very sad. I started using Strand consoles in the early 1980's. Over the last 10 year, I have primarily switched to ETC. I buy in all price ranges from $500 to $50,000 and I make recommendations for multiple venues. The word on the street is that Strand is no good at support. If this forum is a fair representation, I would have to agree.

Someone please answer my question about the offline software. It is critical these days and I don't even know why anyone would make a computer based console without it. But the Strand site and documentation does not say anything about it.

There is currently no Offline Editor for the ML500. If you are looking for a console that has a offline editor program, I would suggest looking at the NEO Console. I have listed a link below to the Neo Software. Thanks
