No signed USB drivers for Windows 8.1

Post by gooze » Thu Aug 20, 2015 9:12 am

The USB drivers that are included in the software for the OLE appear not to be signed for Windows 8.1... In any case I cannot get them to work (They work perfectly fine on Windows XP and Windows 7).

I've passed this along to the engineers.

Right now there's no plan to update the driver package with the Windows 8.1 signature.

That being said, the workaround is to disable strict checking on Windows 8.1.

Here's a tutorial:

It's not the simplest procedure, but it will get the drivers to install.

Additionally, if you never intend to connect the control surface tiles or DMX boards of an actual console to the PC, you never need to install these drivers. USB channel dongles will work without them.

Thank you for the solution. I am building a setup for my Wysiwyg studio, where I can connect the tiles to my Wyg PC for off-line editing and Wyg Live editing.
