Transferring Position Looks

Post by jmac » Tue Aug 26, 2014 11:10 am

I would like to reuse some saved Position Looks for two auto-yokes from one show, and bring them into a new show file. I know how to import generally, and have done this before.. but this time the two fixtures will be on different channel numbers, so it is not as straight forward. Is there an easy way to do this..? (They will be same DMX addresses). Thanks!

What you will want to do Jim is to copy this information in patch. Likely you will want to use the existing showfile and save as a transfer showfile. Then copy/move the info. Then use that as a basis for your new showfile.

Go into Patch by Fixture. You will see a softkey called Modify Data. Press that and you will get green softkeys that say Copy To or Move To. Just type [Fixture #][Modify Data][Copy To/Move To][Fixture #][ENTER]. This will copy/move the data that you need.
