Hi,
I'm sure this will have been asked but for the life of me I can't find it.
What's the advice on consoles running XP now that MS have pulled support for it?
Should we Upgrade the OS to Vista or 7? Leave well alone and hope for the best?

Nothing will change as it's an embedded version of XP and it's been locked down for sometime now.

If you have a problem and the processor needs to be replaced, that's when it will be replaced with a non-XP version.

Good to know. Will there be any security issues if the desk is networked as part of a buildings main computer network? I have our desk networked and online for remote use etc. Would there be any possibility of someone gaining access through XP on the palette?

Cheers,
Damien

None that I am aware as this is an embedded version of XP and should anything be required to be installed on that machine, that's locked down and inaccessible.

Thanks Bobby.
That's pretty much what I reckoned and touch wood I'm in no rush to replace the processor.
