Midi interface with off-line editor

Post by benm » Thu Sep 12, 2013 3:57 am

Hi there,

I have a silver Preset palette. I've taken the PC out of it and am running off-line editor 10.8.5 on a Windows 7 laptop, with the console and usb key connected to the laptop with a USB hub. It works great, gives me a second monitor, and is faster and more stable than the original internal PC.
I'd now like to trigger the console from Qlab via midi. I can confirm I can see the MSC commands coming into the Palette laptop by using MidiOx.
My question is how do I tell Palette to listen to this midi input? I have labeled my cue list "01 main" as suggested by the manual.

Cheers,
Ben

At current, Midi is only supported on LightPalette with the SMPTE/Midi interface.
PaletteOS has no implementation of Midi from any other source.
