effects rate on fader

Post by gooze » Thu Aug 23, 2012 11:59 am

How do I get the rate or size of an effect - that is otherwise recorded in a cue- onto a fader? I have tried setting up my look as attribute control or recording the effect in a cue with a rate or size of zero and then fading in the same effect on a submaster with a higher rate or size, but this doesn't appear to work.

I'm not aware of the ability to place any effects attribute on a fader.

I remember a demonstration on a trade show where you had two cues with the same effect. The first cue had the effect with a size of zero, the second with a size of 50. A moving light was describing a spiral as it made a bigger and bigger circle during the time the second cue ran. I presumed it was possible to do something similar with a cue and a sub or two subs, but I cannot get it to work. Could you explain why?
