I've tested this on Vista OLE using Firefox (and .2009 -> mongoose). The changes from .2008 seemed to do the trick. The RFU works. Nice stuff guys.

In testing with mRFU I did manage to find a bug in our mongoose scripting extension. This will be distributed in BETA 10.8.2011.

Gary and I ran into a few things, Rel crashing Mongoose, Channel ON not working but we think we have them solved and I'm hopeful will be out in the next version.

MAJOR UPDATE: (webapp) m(ini)RFU 2.1

Post by MickCrozier » Thu Mar 17, 2011 12:21 am

iPhone

** Requires PaletteOS 10.8.2011 or greater **
Thanks Gary / Bobby for sorting out some of the issues in the lua scripting - running fine under 10.8.2011.

Until 10.8.3 is released - non beta testers should use mRFU v1.3

Major Changes:
- Ton of bug fixes! (please let me know if you find bugs or bad usage issues)
- Nudging of attributes now possible - levels relevant to individual fixtures
- Major improvement to UI response on mobile touch devices
- Looks now interpret [@][+][-] in similar manner to fixtures for quick use
- Major work on key press interpretation and prevention for faster usability
- Better handling of last known selection for On, Off, RemDim and (attribute)
- Added user editable lookpage and cuelist names
- Added support for PC, Console and iPad
- Added Position Pad and Colour Picker
- Major change to file structure and send command method to avoid using frames
- Added lost connection detection
- Added disable attribute control option - For those who only need intensity control (disabling allows next/prev to always be next/prev fixture)

Install:
Better delete old versions of mRFU before extracting to your web directory. There's been a file structure update.

Modes:
There are now 3 basic modes

1. Mobile
- Color Picker and Position Pad overlay the remote
2. PC (inc iPad)
- Colour Picker and Position startup on screen and can be made BIG
3. Console
- Same as 2 but without the remote
(use localhost as ip for console use - firefox only!)

Compatability:
iPhone iOS 4.2 and 4.3 tested
iPad only tested in simulator iOS 3.2
Firefox 3, Safari 5 and Chrome 12 all test fine.

Android devices should work, although default screen size may be a bit weird (if you use Android please let me know)
- In the settings is an option to change the viewport zoom if you find it's too big or small.

IE 7 and 8 don't work at all. Not tested in 9
Not tested in Windows Mobile but I'd say it will suffer the same fate as IE.

Access the manual by tapping the LCD display. then [Prev] [Enter]

That's all for now
ENJOY!

I found bugs in both the colour picker and position pad when i ran it up on another console this afternoon.

Position Pad not sending correct values on a touch device - FIXED

I had thought the console would revert to CMY when adjusted from the remote. Turns out it reverts to the default color space.
MODIFIED so that it will actually send RGB values in its RGB mode.

------

Crippled + - and thru buttons fixed in 2.0b
Grabbed an outdated file for the zip package... Whoops!

Stunning work.
Love the skins too. In Colour picker I often get a connection lost (and you're nifty Open Palette hour glass ;-) I've tried local host (on XPP OLE) and using WiFi to iPhone.

HAHA!!! I don't believe it - I must have made that package 6 times before I got all the right files!!! And still got it wrong. Blame it on the sound guy!
I didn't expect the Open Palette hourglass to be found so quickly!!! :ugeek:

Yeah - you should get that lost connection everytime! the mrfu.js file I packed was part of recent failing attempts on sending scripts in the background.
Which I've managed to get happening much much sooner than I expected!!!

v2.1 has replaced the download above.
- Colour Picker and Position Pad continuously update console while mouse down or touching. The Position Pad works more like a joystick.

With this the project is now complete (pending any bugs).... well for now anyway - I wouldn't mind a macro pad... but that's a while off.

Thanks Kuni / Robert :D

Much better on P/T and Colour mix (no hour glass). But in RGB, it sends wrong value and the fixture's colour space on the desk stays in CMY. Works fine in CMY.

Fixtures change to the default colour space when set by HC.AttributeSetValue.
There doesn't appear to be a way to set the colour space remotely.
viewtopic.php?f=34&t=2286&p=11244

You should only set to RGB if that's your default colour space. Not ideal, but will have to do.
