Fixture Profile
How can i get a profile for a fixture that is not in the current library? It is for a Chauvet LED TechnoStrobe. Can I write it, or does a Horizon/Strand rep have to write it?
Console: Basic Palette v2

Re: Fixture Profile
Because of the Universal Attribute Control (conditional attributes, abstract attributes, units etc.) HCI must write them. Please e-mail the PDF manual or link to support@horizoncontrol.com.

I still think:gooze wrote:Maybe you could post a sticky in the forum to point to the emailadress people should use for fixture library requests.
Even better, it could be written in the bottompart of the 'Select Fixture Type' window, next to the [OK] and [Cancel] buttons.

Re: Fixture Profile
Can anyone tell me just HOW quick they might be?
We have an LED fixture demo happening here next week, and while I haven't pinned down the fixtures yet, it sounds like we'll be using some state-of-the-art stuff. Obviously sooner is better, but how quick are they?

Brian normally gets it done within the day if the documentation is available. E-mail support@horizonconrol.com

Re: Fixture Profile
Brian is great at getting these things done quickly, but it DOES pay to learn how you can take an existing fixture and "re-patch" it so you can use it for demos. There are lots of LED fixtures in there to choose from.
From memory you do this...
1) patch a suitable fixture for you to bend into shape
2) go to patch by output
Decide which attribute you want to move, and type its NEW output channel in the below...
3) type [output ch] @ [Fixture no] [S4-Attribute] then select the Attribute you want to put on that DMX location

Re: Fixture Profile
Brian was VERY fast and we everything working in time for our demo. I'll remember that trick though, sounds like it would have come in handy.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Can i ask why?
I imagine that a badly written fixture would probably cause also sorts of nasty crashes but i'd love to know whats involved in writing up a fixture.
