NEO Terminology for Referenced Groups

All,

As we continue to reevaluate the NEO's software development, I wanted to ask the programming community their opinions of the terminology used for referenced groups that automatically update cues. Traditionally LightFactory called these referenced groups "specific palettes". We have been calling them everything from referenced groups, presets groups, preset focus groups to presets. What makes the most sense?

Now remember that we do have Generic Palettes that are a smarter version of the referenced group that globally applies to all patch fixtures. The term for Generic Palette will stay the same.

Bobby,

I lean toward "palettes". This leaves "generic palettes" as a special case of the broader concept.

I am sure when we discuss them we will use many of the other terms to help relate them to other consoles.

I voted specific palette. If one has a modifier I think the counter point should. Palette would be my second choice. Consistency in vocabulary is a plus.
