Cue follow issue

Software version: 1.00.08 (running current public release, but couldn't see this issue addressed in the release notes of beta versions.)

Running cues with a follow time set causes a very brief loss of output when the first cue completes and the start of the next cue.

This is still an issue in Ver. 1.1

It is most noticeable running an LED unit as a set of channels (rather than a fixture), but there is still a noticeable dip in conventional fittings too.

Can you send us the showfile? We can't duplicate the problem.

I could send you a showfile if you want, but I have been able to replicate the issue pretty easily building cues from scratch.

As I said in a previous post, this issue is really obvious with LED based units, but is also an issue with conventional fittings too. The way I did it with LED fittings is to run them as a set of conventional channels rather than as a fixture (I first noticed this when I was doing a really quick one-off gig that had a couple of odd RGB fittings and I did not have time to create as fixtures).

If I create a set of cues, and it doesn't matter if the cue states are the same or different, and then set a follow time on each cue. When playing back the cue there is a momentary flicker / loss of output went the cue follow timer completes.

This affects conventional channels: fixtures are unaffected. I have had two fittings side by side, one operated as a group of channels, the other patched as a fixture. The problem only appeared on the fitting that was being run as a group of channels.

I have been able to replicate this across several different LED fittings (ColorBlast TRX, PixelPar, Litecraft MultiPar) as well as conventional fittings on a dimmer, with both direct DMX out from the console and through opto-isolated splitters. I have also been able to replicate this on two different 250ML consoles.

I have video of the fault in action, and I can send though if needed.
