Playback and grandmaster fader issue

Post by tobbe » Tue Jun 16, 2015 12:00 pm

Hi

I have weird issue with my desk.
I have 8 Nick 501 moving heads set up and everything works fine.
If I use on of my stored playback subs, everything works as expected. However, if I use a playback fader and then use the playback master or grand master fader, it adjusts both the shutter and dimmer at the same time, resulting in the moving heads doing all sorts of effects.
Is it by design that the dimmer and shutter is connected? On the playback faders only the intensity is affected. I would assume that the playback master and grand master would only affect the intensity...

My 250ML desk has the 1.3 firmware

Regards,
Tobbe

EDIT: I have 1.3, not 1.1

My guess is that the shutter channel on your fixture is part of the "dimmer" attribute family and that should probably change.

I would edit the fixture using the fixture creator software. Either that or send us the fixture and we'll look at it ourselves.

The 250ML Fixture Creator Software can be downloaded here...

Hi

I moved the shutter to the beamshape familly, and now the playback and grandmaster works as expected!
Thanks for you help!
