Submaster Page

For example:
I have record a scene to submaster 1 on page 23 and
another scene to submaster 1 on page 24.
I've raise submaster 1on page 23 to 70%.
Now I switch to page 24 and want to raise submaster 1 on page 24.
But it is still submaster 1 of page 23 on the fader until i fade it out to 0%.
Then it switch to sub 1 on page 24.
I there the possibility to fade in Sub1 of page 24 without fading out Sub 1 of page 23.

Thanks for any help
greetings Jürgen

The definition of subs on pages has the sub holding the level after a page change. I recommend using a different sub.

That's difficult, because I need more than 24 submasters at the same time.
Is there no other solution?

I'm not aware of one. Maybe another user has found a work around.

The way this works now is very typical for traditional submasters with multiple pages.

The problem has always been that when you change pages, if you want all subs to change pages too, then you have the risk of levels snapping to match the sub. It just becomes harder to manage.

I'm happy to take a poll and look at changing this but want to make sure that the software does the proper thing.

How about something like: for the out of sync handle, that is the handle that was up with levels before the change, if you could hold some magic key down while taking the slider to zero leaving the levels up? Once the slider is a zero it is on the "right" page.

This solution does run the risk of lights on and no easy way to get then off - they are from a sub you "disassociated" and until you switch back to original page they are stuck.

Couldn't you record the state recorded in the submaster as a lighting cue and fade that in - drop the submaster - change page - fade up new submaster and play the next cue which would be recorded as a blackout to return to subs on a HTP basis?

How about a recording mode which allows you to choose between shared fader action between pages or separate fader action between pages.

If this were possible the only issue an operator would then have is remembering what subs are up, because you can no longer rely on looking at the desk to remind you what subs are active. But if you know your rig this shouldn't be an issue.

On the other hand if the DMX IN function of the console could control submasters you could gain access to more physical submaster faders.

Good ideas. I'm not sure that there is memory on the desk to support these functions but will discuss.
