General Use Questions

Post by charlesondrek » Mon Mar 17, 2014 4:11 pm

Some general questions I have discovered during normal use of the 250ML console:

1. Most of the buttons on the console have the ability to light up. Why doesn't the blackout button have a backlight on it? The only place to confirm the key has been pressed (from what I can tell) is by looking at the monitor for the Grandmaster status & percentage. Should my blackout button light up when I press it?

2. Is there a reason that I can't find any details in the manual regarding the use and functions of the playback master? I have discovered that it is basically a master for the playbacks/submasters but shouldn't there be at least a little blurb of something in the manual?

3. In regards to Sub copy/move: I am having a hard time figuring out how to choose subs that you want to move or copy. All that I can access is sub 01-01 or 01-02. How do I access subs on different pages or slots?

4. Can you describe the functions of preview in the sub menu? Is this just to look at subs or should it be like a blind function where I can edit it as well? Can the ability to edit subs be added so that it functions similar to a blind function on most other consoles?

5. I am finding that the playback fader when in a chase or cue stack does not control the intensity of fixtures. The fader will only control intensity in static looks. Is there a setting that I am missing to make the fader function appropriately?

Thanks

Only on screen.

In the process of adding to the manual.

Will ask Tech Support to look into.

Should be similar.

5. I am finding that the playback fader when in a chase or cue stack does not control the intensity of fixtures. The fader will only control intensity in static looks. Is there a setting that I am missing to make the fader function appropriately?

Only subs.

To access other subs that are on different pages, you will first need to be in the sub master window. To access that you will select the F2 button for Sub. Once in the sub window press the up or down arrows that are to left of the usb port to cycle thru the pages. If you have any other questions let me know, thanks.

So it should be noted that my 1st question here regarding the backlight of the blackout key and Bobby's response of it only displaying on the monitor is not correct. The blackout key does have a backlight and it should work. Apparently, mine does not and I will be sending it back to the factory for repair.

Bobby, I suppose you should be aware of this is well.

Hey charlesondrek

Regarding your question 5 above.

I've discovered if you make another sub INHIBIT with the same fixtures in it, you can use it to fade the intensities.

It takes up valuable real estate, but it's the only workaround I've been able think of. Anyone discovered another way?
