Software updates

Post by HPCTechnical » Thu Feb 06, 2014 9:12 am

Hi Bobby, Just wondered what's happening with this desk in terms of development - there don't seem to have been any updates since September. There are still bugs being found, and there have been a number of good suggestions as to possible improvements, so that gap of over four months is beginning to worry me somewhat...

Thanks for your email. Everyone was working on other projects and we are now waiting on the passing of the Chinese New Year break (still a few more days) then the software engineers should be back. What's on your top five list?

Hi Bobby, thanks for that reassurance, for me the most desirable would be changing the DMX option in to control submasters rather than channels 1 - 24.

Cheers,

Ian

Capacity to resize the various output screens on the VGA monitor. For a desk that can run 30 intell fixtures a display of only 4 (sometimes only 2) fixtures at a time seems a little stingy.

Paging Fixtures in preview appears not to work. Only fixture 1 shows up in preview.

Recording an effects engine based effect to a palette. Currently you can record to a sub or a cue, but you cannot record that effect from a sub to a cue. To do be able to do this would be great - to be able to do this to a palette would be even better.

It would be incredibly helpful to have the subs on separate pages be independent of each other. I.e. If sub 1 is activated then open sub page 2 being able to activate the first sub on page 2 without affecting sub 1. At the moment when you change pages you need to take the previous fader out (which will take out the contents of sub 1) to access the contents on the same fader on a new page.

It would be even more useful to be able to choose fader paging modes per fader.

Once a cue is recorded it cannot be changed or updated as a State Cue. Levels have to be reset and re-recorded as a state cue.
