This is a web based Riggers Remote for the iPhone / iPod touch.

This is based on code by Tom Visser - viewtopic.php?f=34&t=1694.
This code uses jQuery - http://jquery.com/ - for user interface and interaction with Palette.

This is the first version of the software, please report suggestions / bugs.
Installation instructions can be found at http://dmxgadgets.com/

The riggers better not be touching anything that has to do with my lights :)

Very nice.

The rigger above me, better not be carrying an iPhone... :D
Scratch that... Nobody above me better be carrying an iPhone!

I don't want it to hit me in the head...

This looks very neat, but I must be missing something. On both my iPhone's Safari and my PC's FireFox, it looks like the attached. The style sheet must not be working or in the right place.

Hi Robert,

Many thanks for trying my remote and for your prompt feedback.
I apologise for the issue you experienced. I believe I have fixed it and have re-uploaded the zip file.

I hope I have not un-intentionally confused people calling it a 'riggers' remote, it is intended for testing circuits when rigging lights and focusing.
Maybe it is a UK thing...

I think the rigger's remote was tongue in cheek. Over this side of the pond, we normally call it an RFU (Remote Focus Unit) but we're not naive - we understood.

I got the right picture on my phone now, but I don't have the word STRAND PALETTE at the top (maybe trivial). The issue is, I can't seem to control anything. What version of s/w are you running on Palette? I've tried on a PC and on the iPhone.
Thanx

Did you manually change the ip adress in the file on your desk? The manual stated that this might be necessarry.

Hi Robert,

As Gooze has mentioned, there is a config.js file in the files folder.
The javascript will try to pick up the IP address of your lighting desk, under some network conditions this will not work so you may have to manually set your IP address.

To do this edit config.js and comment the line 'var ip='http://'+location.host+'/'' and un-comment the line 'var ip="http://192.168.0.1/";' inserting your IP address...

Thanks for clearing up the 'riggers' thing...

Works for me on the OLE. Nice work Tim!

It does a run a bit slow on my iPhone though. I think it's due to the deselect command being sent whenever a number is typed. I have to type fairly slowly for the numbers to register.

Also - because of this deselelct command - ReleaseAll can be removed the RemDim function, which will make it make it work properly.
