A bug in this function...
HC.AttributeSetValue([source_identifier,]fixture,attribute_name,attribute_value)

Allows me to set Pan and Tilt values beyond the limits of the selected fixture.

Not a bug. You may have a VL5 patched and want to pan 190 degrees. Not possible on a VL5, but is possible if you change the VL5 to a VL500. At run-time, the VL5 will go to 180 degrees or the VL500 will got to 190 degrees.

OK - I can live with that.

One question - That command seems to not be performed until the Pan is twiddled manually on the desk. Why is that?

The problem seems to be limited to position. Colour control is OK via this command.

It seems the attribute must captured before it works. Probably a priority issue.
:added: FS#1685 - HC.AttributeSetValue() only worked on captured values
Thanx
