SoftKeys

Softkeys is a hardware/software combination, specifically designed to locally display the 24 "soft keys" on the Palette series of consoles. The Software uses the openPalette system to interrogate the Palette for the current key labels, and displays them immediately adjacent to the actual console buttons - thus saving the user from having to glance at the screen to make sure they are about to hit the right button. The user is able to toggle between showing the 12x "S" keys, and the 12x "M" keys by simply holding the ALT key down. Depending on the type of console used, the keys are shown in the correct layout for that piece of hardware. Final release version of the software and hardware will be in November 2008, and will be available from Bytecraft Entertainment in Australia.

I'll have a demo version with me at LDI, and will post links to a free version of the software once it is ready to go.

John,

What's the street price here? With it being console specific, programmers will not be able to walk around w/ one in their pocket. Any interest in an unlocked version?
