Yes -- the DMX input when patched to a channel or a look act as the masters for the look/channel.

When a DMX input is patched directly to a single output, the output is disconnected form the desk's internal control outputs.

I suspect the Direct DMX control of variables will return in a future release.

I'll let Robert/Brian/Bill answer your questions about VN.

Yes...

the "Variable Page" patch of B3 would be refering to Vision Net stations in room 3, the "Variable Order" number will refer to the console button from the Vision Net Station.

The attached screen shot from Vision Net Designer shows 8 buttons, each with a different number, but belonging to Room 1

Bill,

Your notes depend on the VN station being in VN Designer mode, correct? If the station were to find itself in Remote keypad mode then the number would refer to the station ID, right?
