Notepad++ is your friend for "real" Lua scripting

Notepad++ is indeed the bomb. Dual monitors helps a great deal also. I have been keeping macro code in excel for reference so I can track the control chain, invaluable when problems arise, and they will.
I found some code that would release every cuesheet except the ones that I put in the if statement, works like a charm. I realized that the HC.GetProperty command can do a lot of things. Is there a way to find out what all of the Lua commands do in the rack pallete environment, there is no info on GetProperty for instance.

will have to get back with you on that.
GetProperty is a bit guarded since it is a direct link to the engine,
and if used improperly can easily crash it.

respecfully noted. This system is, barring a few little bugs, awesome. LUA makes it moreso. Nicely done
