Seachanger XG & Color Mixing

Post by dbander » Tue Sep 13, 2011 4:18 pm

First off, I'm using 10.8.4 on a Palette VL and the fixture library as of 9/12/11.

I've found when using my Seachanger XLs, it will only mix with CMY, not the CMYG that the XG has. So if I'm trying to color mix R91 for example, it doesn't work because the Palette VL won't mix the True Green dichroic at all. Anyone had this problem or found solutions for it?

Thanks,

David

The green is on the second color page, F6 on my ole. All attributes with multiple pages are listed on the bottom row of the screen.

I am not having problems with the green channel alone, just when I try color mixing a known gel.

One of the reasons that it mixes only using the primary color space is for the ability to copy data between different types of fixtures.

You can always manually add the Green and then create color palettes of your own.

After finding the CMYxG values from the SeaChanger website - I'm now curious as to how to edit the SeaChanger xG profile on the Palette VL. The current profile doesn't use the xG filter at all, but now that I have the approximate values, I'd love to write that myself. Any ideas?
