10.8.2 Effects on subs

Post by tferr » Sat Apr 02, 2011 8:49 pm

We have a Strand Palette Classic (Silver) running 10.8.2

We're having a problem 'playing back' some effects on our submasters(affects virtual subs too). I recorded four square wave wraps separately onto four separate submasters (17,18,19,22). If you bring them up individually they work just fine. However, if you have more than one up, bumped or not, they exhibit odd behaviors. For example, Effect1 is on sub 16 and Effect2 is on sub 17. Lets say that I have Effect1 at full and wish to add in Effect2. I add in Effect2 by pushing the sub up. two thing could happen at this point. Either Effect1 slows down or stops completely, or Effect1 runs fine but Effect2 speeds up way faster than it was recorded at. I just tried this out in the OLE and the problem exists there too. Any ideas?

(without checking your show file...)
Are you using at least some of the same fixtures in these effects?

No, the effects use different fixtures. Effect1 was a cyc chase, Effect2 was a Full Stage Color Wash chase, Effect3 was a FOH chase, and Effect4 was a chase using our moving head fixtures.

Just did an event last week doing this on 10.8.3 and not having any trouble. Hopefully the version to be released this week will have no issues for you.

Problem is still present in the 10.8.3 OLE. I can't upgrade our console to try it out on it yet.
