auto shutter close?

Post by jpearce » Mon Jun 07, 2010 6:52 am

On many other desks that I have used setting an intensity of 0 on a moving light caused the shutter to close so that any light bleed through the dimmer shutter was eradicated.

Is there any possibility of this on the Palette as programming shutter cues is tedious, and it is often very difficult to get the timing in the right place.

A quality moving fixture does that on its own.
If you have a particular model fixture you are having trouble with,
please send information to:
support@horizoncontrol.com

In the library, I have the ability to make the fixture perform however you want.

Hmm, I'll concede that the two tourwashes are best used as doorstops, but I'd count my Mac600s as quality and they don't seem to do it. I'll have a play with their menu functions and email support if I can't get the heads to do it themselves.

The dimmer shutter dims properly but without the shutter shut I have a series of glowing eyes in the grid...

Let me know exactly what fixture and mode you are using (standard, nt, mode 2? etc.),
and the next time I am in the library, I'll make the shutter close at 0% intensity.
please email
support@horizoncontrol.com
so I can send you alink when finished.

All of the MAC 600 fixtures in the latest library close the shutter when Intensity = 0.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks!
I won't get a chance to try it today, but I'll get back to you as soon as I have had the chance.

Could you do the same for the tourlights tourwash575 please?
