10.6.4 hardware input failure

Post by tferr » Wed Apr 07, 2010 10:11 pm

My name is Tyler F and I work at Kutztown University as a lighting assistant. We use a silver Classic Palette with an Elo touchscreen (not connected, causes BSOD).

For a show that ended about an hour ago, we suffered a failure in the board. The entire left side of the console (subs, rel pb, and both go buttons) stopped working mid show. The lights were on but the program didn't respond when I tried to operate anything on that side of the console (including our grandmaster). I immediately starting using the spacebar on the external keyboard to continue the cues. It stopped working a few cues in. I had to run the show using the mouse using the onscreen playback controls.

and no I didn't have enough time to enter the GOTO command for every cue (the numbers don't take half the time).

tl;dr
>Left side of board failed.
>External keyboard failed.
>Ran show with mouse.
>Board failed to shutdown (again)

Anytime you have a hardware failure, you should call tech support at 800.4STRAND.

We need to see the logs from the console and get your console back up and going.

For the ELO problem, I recommend that you update the driver. This is on our website. Talk to Patrick Henry tomorrow.
