10.6.4 Numbers changing

Post by gafftaper » Sat Mar 06, 2010 9:24 pm

Just upgraded to 10.6.4 now certain numbers change value +1 and back down again at completely random times. For example, I'm currently running lighting for a Jazz fest. I'm busking things a little here and there to change the look. I've got some faders up and some channels turned on from the key pad. All of the fixtures currently controlled by submaster 3 are randomly jumping up one number and back down again. Sometimes it's every 5 seconds some times it's a minute between jumps. Other channels are on other submasters, or turned on from the key pad are not effected. This has been happening since the upgrade. I've seen it with a variety of submasters, not just that one. I haven't seen it happen in a recorded cue yet. Doesn't seem to change how things look on stage... but it's really annoying and makes the Op think he's going crazy.

Sorry long time no follow up. I've got an original silver Classic Palette.

From the control panel, run the hardware test and report the results back to Strand directly. It may be a panel power supply issue if they are really jumpy.

I've noticed this a few times on the 2 Light Palettes we have. It seems to be random and just depends on where the fader is. It's never done it at full or 0, so I just assumed the software thought the fader was between 2 whole numbers. If you move the fader up or down slightly it seems to go away.
