10.6.3 Engine Error

Post by AmP » Mon Feb 08, 2010 1:39 pm

I updated to 10.6.3 on our Light Palette Live and now every time the board starts it brings up an "engine error" and the Shift+S1 crash log comes up before the software has fully loaded. Filling out the crash log, or canceling it, seems to allow it to finish loading the program. There seems to be no other problems after that and the software seems to function normally.

I do have the crash log file saved on a usb key, unfortunately I forgot it at home this morning. I'll post it tomorrow.

Any thoughts until then?

I wonder if the loading of the show file is taking too long. Can you try doing a FILE|NEW, write one cue and save the show. Then exit and re-start. See if that one-cue-show comes up with no issues.

I'll try that today. I'm also sending the file to support right now.

It seems to not load the show software until you click on it. It gets as far as the panel, brings up the error, then goes back to the panel.
