importing a cue

Post by SimonWatson » Fri Feb 05, 2010 3:27 pm

We are running a palette vl with 10.6.3. We were just about to start a dress rehearsal when it was discovered that a moving light had been plotted and tracked into the show by mistake. We were not sure how far through the error was and were under time pressure, so I tried to import the cue list from a previous showfile without the plotting error. I unchecked the import copy box, but we could not get rid of the rogue light, the old cue list did not seem to overwrite the current one. I thought that it would. Is this correct or have I missunderstood this function. As it happened the light only tracked through to its first proper use and was easy to replot out.

I can confirm that one.
In the meantime, what does work,
is delete the cue list.
Then import.
That worked here.

Seems like overwriting is not happening correctly,
but deleting an item such as 1 cue,
and importing an item then works properly.

This is a bug I forgot to report for a long time. Really annoying especially if you have to delete a cue with a lot of tracking fixtures.
Compulite did not replace cues that were on board. That is also not good.
