Stop/back and follow times

Post by tom » Fri Nov 13, 2009 9:49 pm

While a cue is running and there is also a follow time running, pressing stop pauses the cue but when you press play again it kills the follow time. So it just stops when it's finished running the cue.

Done on purpose? I would expect it to pause all times and then continue after.

Same thing if you update a cue while it is counting down to follow to the next cue. Update breaks the follow.

Hows about,

Stop/back halts the entire process. Cue times and follow times. Pressing play continues all times.

SHIFT stop/back to pause the cue time, but not the follow time. For sequences where you'd like to pause the current cue but not delay the follow timing of coming cues.

I had a situation yesterday where that would have been handy.

Doesn't work on my console. Holding Shift and pressing Halt/Back (on A/B) fades in the default time of 2 not in the Cue time of the previous cue (3 up and 7 down). Maybe I misunderstand what this should be doing?

Just discovered something new about the Stop/Back+ Shift while Gary Douglas was working on my consoles today.

I am running a Strand Light Pallet Live (48 Look handles, 12 Play back handles) with version 10.6.4 software (I'm not upgrading to 10.6.6 but waiting for 10.8.).

I program 4 cues on the first Play Back handle, each with a time of 5. I can GO and Halt/Back and everything is fine. If I Shift + Halt/Back the stack steps back a cue using the fade time (as it should).

If I then move the cue list to the A/B or C/D handles, the Shift + Halt/Back now only steps back in the default time of 2 as opposed to the cue time.

If I move the cue stack back to a Play Back fader, then Shift + Halt/Back works again.

Apologies if this was fix in v.10.6.6 already.
