selective record

selective record seems to be broken for cues.
It works for looks.

Hmmmm - in 2001 you say?
I may need exact syntax. I delta a bunch of channels, then type x rec y and I only get X in Y. Both for looks and cues.

well, I use this syntax:# thru # selective record (selected) cue #.
Some channels that are not selected track(from the previous cue).
I use cue only mode, rec live,if it helps.

another question:does it have to go to cue on record if it is checked?

Q-Only does not have anything to do with channels from previous cues tracking into the current cue. And Selective Record only records the selected channels in the cue but will not affect tracking.

Combining a preceding channel list with any of the other Record Types will not give you what you are looking for either. The preceding channel list will combine with the Record Type to limit the channels actually recorded in the cue but again will not affect tracking from previous cues - Block will assure all of the channels in the list are recorded, Delta will record only deltas of the listed channels...

What you are trying to achieve is really "yet another mode" - Record State ONLY - or some such. I believe we can have a similar result for cue list with of type "preset". This would apply to the entire cue list not just one record, however.

I believe this has nothing to do w/ selective record but, as Taine pointed out, a record type that we don't currently do.

Tom, to do what you want in current code, you'll need to rem dim other values out so that they have an instruction to do something.
