Pocket Palette Crashing

Post by rschwimmer » Wed Oct 14, 2009 2:34 pm

I have a gentleman in Washington that sent his Symbol in for Patrick to update. He updated it, and sent it back to him, and he keeps having the same error message come up:

Pocket Palette RFU Error Message Details

Palette RFU 3.0 exe

at RFU. TelNet Functions. QuerySubmasters(
at RFU.LooksPanel.DoSubTimer()
at RFU.LooksPanel.TickTimer_Tick()
at System.Windows.Forms.Application.Run
at RFUHost.MainForm.Main()

Let me know if anyone knows of this issue please.

While I was working on something else today with the RFU I did notice it crashed on me a number of times. I spent a couple minutes trying to figure out why sometimes it crashes on me and other times it doesn't. What I have worked out is that if you turn the power up the RFU after having shut it down while in the look (subs) window, it crashes. If it gets shut down in any other window it seems to be fine.

I just looked at the error message and it is almost the same.
Rather then the "OverflowException" I had a "NullReferenceException" and the next line you show, "at RFU. TelNet Functions. QuerySubmasters()" did not appear on my error message. The rest was identical.

The subs panel of the RFU has been completely re-written over the last month or so.

Version is in testing. It should no longer exhibit this problem.
