Hi there,
one of my customers told me the same about teh Part Q prob. he use a Light Palette VL with 10.6.1 and now he goes back to 10.5
(I can´t tested in the moment because we run a show in the moment. But I will do this the next time...)

I've fixed the issue for 10.6.2.

If you hold on to a copy of the show with the correct part information, 10.6.2 will be able to open it correctly. If you've saved the file with 10.6.1, the part information will be gone.

Sorry for the problem. This one snuck past us in testing (it appeared in the 10.5.14 BETA from Feb 09).

I've recently upgraded from 10.4.12 to 10.6.1. Does this mean I will not be able to use part cues (w/o major headaches) for show I am just about to start programming? When will 10.6.2 be available? If not imminent, can/should I go back to 10.4.12?? Thanks.

10.6.2 is imminent - for this reason alone.
