Color wheel + CMY

Post by jgoss » Wed Nov 12, 2008 11:07 pm

I noticed that when using a MAC 2k Wash if I set one of the color wheels to a color, then later use color text matching to set a color, it only affects the CMY, and does not change the color on the color wheels.
Is this a bug, feature, or something else?

Unfortunately Text Match on Color only works with the CMY part of the fixture.
The color wheels are ignored.

Personally I would find it annoying if I was using the color wheel for a special color correction filter,
and every time I applied a color from the color library, it dumped my wheel.

Maybe Rob can comment on future intent.

I'd agree with the current method of having the Text Match only apply to the primary means of color. As you said loosing CTO after Text Match would get tedious very quickly.

This does once again raise the question of filtering attributes within a family. Most of the time appropriate/strategic use of deltas will be sufficient but there are cases.
