RFU Problems

Post by SimonWatson » Wed Nov 05, 2008 12:01 pm

We have a palette vl with 10.4.8 software. We use the wifi pda remote and also have a pc in the network running as a rfu. If we go into the looks screen on either rfu, the software crashes.

This sounds like an old RFU software issue. Which version of the RFU are you running?

RFU crashes, or console crashes?

I had problem with PDA running RFU v3. It was not original symbol. I was not able to restore normal operation, so I used hard reset of PDA and "firmware upgrade" for this pda (some HP unit) and after this procedure and fresh install of RFU v3 (together with .net runtime) all works fine...

Could be that only the new .net install does the trick on it's own.

RFU crashes, doesn't do it every time though. It's the official symbol pda.
