Keypad not responding

Post by kkennel » Thu Sep 25, 2008 3:10 pm

Hello. My keypad is not responding to the Light Palette Classic. The keyboard and USB mouse is fine. There are no indicator lights or anything.
Thanks,
Krystal

  • Did this happen after a reboot?
  • Did it happen after upgrading s/w?
  • What version are you running?
  • Are there any LEDs on on your facepanel?
  • Does your Status Windows (lower left) say Off-Line or On-Line?
  • Can you access your USB key via Windows Explorer?

I have seen this kind of thing before. Depending on the nature of the problem, I have had success rolling back to a previous software version and forward again. I keep v3.4.15 handy for this, as rolling this far back, and then forward again seems to "clear the throat" of the console, and fixes a bunch of problems.

Doesn't do anything for hardware problems though.

Please try re-seating all of the USB connectors internally -- just in case something wiggled loose or out of alignment. Just give them a wiggle back into place.
