Restart S/W

Post by jeremyw » Fri Jul 18, 2008 10:20 am

Hey,

During a show tonight I was flashing some lamps at interval behind the house rag when the desk closed the Palette Software, opened the control Panel and came up with a box the same as the shutdown but instead asked me 'Restart S/W?' I could click yes or no.... I did yes and it basically went to a blue screen then restarted the Palette Software. Why did this happen, is it a bug or did something cause it to happen?

Cheers,

jeremy

The operating system monitors the software for health continually. If the palette s/w doesn't respond with a thumbs up for 5 seconds or so, the OS re-starts it. Something nasty must have happened, but it seems like a DMP file was not created. Did the rig flash or was everything recovered OK?
