Colour Palettes

When using look palettes to record colours, it would be nice that when returing to the look page using the view button or similar if the represented colour was shown like the colour bubbles in the live screen. When creating loads of diffrent shades for a show i end up with loads of similar names (ie, light straw, lighter straw etc) as where a visual colour may make it easier to identify.

Encoders

Will it ever be possible to create custom encoder wheel pages, it may be nice to allow groups such as gobo, edge and zoom to be on the same page as swapping beetween the two seems to be a bit clicky.

Cue Labels

Similar to the predictive text on the comand line, would it be possible to have a predicitve text for cue labels, often we are returning to similar locations so i often end up typing the same label several times in one show.

Report Function

It used to be great on the 500 series being able to go channel # then report, where simple information such as the dimmers the channel was patched to would be displayed. Could this be built in as a softkey/tool or further use of the new status box?

Partial Loading of Shows

Would it be possible to load or save specific parts of a show for example the patch or looks?

Profiles

At the moment we can create profiles by typing in the values, however would it be possible to edit profiles using the graph and then moving the points?

Hold

Is there a way of doing this similar to the 500 series?

Nice to see the changes V10 has brought, keep up the great work. :)

Oli.

This goes back having the ATCPAGE.LIB, and I have seen with a few fixtures already that all of the attributes aren't easily accessible, let alone the ones I would like to see on the encoders together. For example, with an Ocean Optics SeaChanger XG where do you access the Green attribute?

I must agree, every year we have a dance company that comes in and it is very common to reload certain pieces that were performed in different shows over the years. Other times having loaded groups, macros, effects, submasters have been very useful as well. Will this still be possible?

Great suggestions - I particularly like the "custom encoders" one - to be able to have Pan, tilt, zoom and edge all on the one page would to soooo nice!

Perhaps put the "custom encoder pages" under M5-8? (currently unused when a mover is selected)

Maybe the syntax could be:
[copy] [S2 - Pan] (M5 - Custom encoder page 1) [M1 - Encoder 1]

Of course there would be issues of different fixtures with different parameters - but I think the idea could work really well.

Partial show load is in, from 10.3.something. Not sure of how 'granular' it is, but it certainly let me bring in one cue from a cuelist the other day after I stuffed something up, and you can also bring cue lists in as different cuelists if you want to compare-and-contrast versions.

File > Import, pick a showfile, then a box appears letting you choose which bits you want.

Rob.

Hi, very good ideas. Few of them are already there.

You already have some direct information in the status area (downright corner), the rest of the info is available in patch if you type a fixturenr.

This is already possible under File->Import show
There is partial cue import, but no partial patch import as of yet.

This is also on my wishlist. Would be great to drag handles as you would do on a fadecurve in most computer audio apps.

In fact at the moment it holds if you choose Hold deltalevels in the hardware setup menu. (almost CC Autohold), the problem is if you don't want it. There is a bit of a debate about this. They are looking at how to implement it.

Regarding HOLD, I think what you want to do is create a high priority exclusive sub. Captured is priority 40, new Exlusives are 20. GMs are 20. Nothing stoping you from making it priority 1.

After looking at the question again I think Oliver want the HOLD function back that used to be a seperate button. You could press hold and the selcted channel(s) would freeze at whatever level. SHIFT+HOLD did the unhold job. It is the Palettes park function on channel level.

Correct. Parking outputs works now. Parking attributes (including int.) is a work in progress. My suggestion was a work-around until we get there. Sorry I didn't make that clear.
