First...yes you can use a web browser on the PDA to check the status.

Second...we don't recommend using any of the IE family to do it. Microsoft for some reason feels that they can implement a web "standard" differently then everyone else. So while the pages will render, they won't always render properly. Also, if you try to adjust a setting from within an IE environment it won't save.

Opera, Firefox or Safari are the ones that have had the most success. If there is an alternate PDA browser that you would like to try, let me know and I'll test it here.

Sounds like someone needs to redo the CEM to support the web browser that 99.99999% of the customers actually use.
(IE: the browser that is actually installed on the consoles.)

Just hack EC21 web code to work fine with all IE bugs??? Are you joking? IE is a nightmare. Ask web coders...

Then the console should ship with firefox installed.

New ones do. We (one day) will post a distributable version of FF to install on old desks.
