Custom Profiles, Colours and Gobos

Post by JohnGrimshaw » Tue Nov 20, 2007 6:08 am

Attached is a sample colours demo show file from Horizon that has custom profiles for the two fixtures. I have questions:
1) On the colour scroller - the profile is picking up and displaying the Rosco colours. How it is doing this? Just matching the profile labels to the Library?
2)The VL3500 has two profiles in this file, but when I try to do it, it only lets me do one. What is the syntax/Method for doing this?
3) is there a "fast" way yet to create custom profiles? (eg alter the gobos in a fixture by copying the existing profile and editing it)

1) If you use Rx you get Roscolux colours, Gx - Gam, Lx - Lee. The format of the label is specific. If we can't match it to something then we display the text rather than the colour
2) We only allow assigning one profile right now (to the first colour or gobo wheel) - more code needed
3) Profiles are clever that if you leave the label blank, we 'fall back' to using the defaults. If you just need to change out GOBO SLOT 3, put in a new profile that uses the correct number of slots and only label slot three to MY CUSTOM GOBO.
