live or blind screen

Post by jltsale » Thu Feb 06, 2014 12:21 pm

Can I adjust the live and/or the blind fixture/channel list box to show only those channels that are in a particular cue sheet?
Can I perform a search on a channel to find out which cuesheets it is in?
Can I remove a channel from a range of cuesheets with a macro or some other command?
My show has over 700 cuesheets and it is difficult to find mistakes.

There is an app for that at http://www.openpalette.org. It's called Smart Grid.

Can I assume that when you say cuesheet you mean Cue List? I don't expect this will help much but the tools for looking at fixture data across ranges of cues are...

1. Be in a cue. Select the fixture. In the Status window (bottom right) it will show you how far the fixture is either used or available from that point both back (up the cue list) and forward (down the cue list).
2. The other thing is to print a CIU or CNIU (Channel In Use, Channel Not In Use) from the printout options.

You can give a channel a command (for this the command would be @ ENTER to remote any instruction) then update a range of cues. # @ ENTER UPDATE CUE # THRU # ENTER

As always, it's a good idea to save your show prior to doing anything that affects a range of data.
