Clock Battery..?

Post by jmac » Fri Jan 31, 2014 1:40 am

My system clock keeps falling behind a few hours. (The console is used intermittently.. everyday for couple weeks; then it may sit in the road case unused for couple months or so).

Is there a clock battery to replace somewhere..? Looked under the hood, but didn't find one...

Thanks!

Which version of the Palette to you have? Many of the models have a soldered in battery for CMOS. This is something our service center could assist you with.

I'm back.... months later...
I have a Classic Palette II.
Today I had an issue booting up.
I got an invalid date error (console thought it was Dec. 2005) and I was directed to change date in the BIOS, which I did.
After that we booted up ok.
But I would like to get this fixed, as I'm sure the problem will persist, and it is annoying to have incorrect saved dates and times, etc.
Please advise who/where to call. Thanks!

Yes. It WILL continue until the battery is replaced.
