Power Down

Post by SRCSTechGuy » Fri Mar 09, 2012 12:10 pm

If the consoles have Windows and harddrives, shouldn't there be a "normal" way to power down the unit then by the power switch? Isn't there a "Shut Down" feature somewhere? I never just turn off my computers using the power and there's a reason why!

What console do you have?

If this is a Palette console you should go to "FILE" and select "EXIT" the console will then prompt you if you would like to save and then if you want to shutdown.

You will then be in the control panel. Select the power icon.

Click on it and the console will shut down.

Another way:
1.Empty command line
2.system (S4)-power off (ALT + S2), follow the prompts to confirm the shutdown.
3.On an off time <1 minute, the second off time <1 minute 20 seconds

I just took delivery the other day of a Preset Palette and was going through these forums and video guides but hadn't realized the 'Shut Down' was in fact thought of. Thanks for the reply!
