VLC video player

Hi,
Has anyone had any luck getting the VLC video player to be controlled via Palette OS?

E.g can you hack the PowerPoint macros to talk to VLC when it is in Terminal mode etc

Cheers

Yes, more or less.
I've mapped a channel to send keystrokes. Like space for example, starting and stopping VLC. How ever this wasnt so effective. There is undoubtedly more you can do with it but you'll probably need an in between application.

I've made a video mixer in puredata that is controlled by six channels on the palette. It's not an easy set up but i did successfully run a tour with it. It sat on a laptop that was connected to a beamer which talked wirelessly to the palette. 2 could mixer and fade 2 video channels.
