10.8.3001 Mac 700 Iris Effects?

Post by TerryHynes » Wed Jun 22, 2011 11:37 am

I can't find any way on the console to access the iris effects on a Mac 700 Profile. The fixture has opening and closing pulse effects, but they don't seem to appear on the console. Any ideas? Do we need new DMX profiles for these?

Recommend using the Palette FX engine for these types of effects. The reason why we do it this way is so that it will work across all fixture types from all manufacturers.

Here are a few clues:
Ramp Up = Ramp open snap close
Ramp Down = Snap Open ramp shut
Sine Wave = Ramp open ramp shut

Sharing these effects between fixtures is important, but most important,
is by adjusting "Offset", you achieve sequencing of the attribute that would impossible using its internal effects.
