Classic Palette v1 (Admin, Lumi Profile, and Channel Upgrade

Hello all,

I am currently running Strand Classic Palette v1. I am doing an upcoming musical in which we have are using intelligent and LED cans/bars.
I have found my profiles on the Power Patch menu, however the Lumi LED-120 bars are not listed; if someone could please help me by supplying the correct profile or an equivalent profile, 4channel. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

Also, I currently have 100 authorized fixtures with the need to be using approximately 150-200. I have been told that to purchase blocks of 50 channels, it will cost me $210 CDN and as it is my first expansion it comes with a separate dongle to add onto the original. Please verify this is indeed the steps I am needing to be taking; (There will be 2 dongles plugged into the board in the end)?

Finally, I am wondering if there is a reason why I am not having Full "Admin" rights to the Windows portion of the Board; if there is a way around this, would be greatly appreciated, or if I have to contact my original provider, please let me know.

I am not sure if you are using the latest software updated , but you can down load the most complete fixture profile list at http://www.horizoncontrol.com/strandlibrary/ Just follow the directions for loading into the console. If the fixture is not there then contact strand support to have one built. I have purchased additional channels for my console and I contacted strand directly to do this.

The fixture library questions should be directed to support@hirizoncontrol.com. If the fixture you have is not in the library and you can provide the correct profile information for the fixture, the turn-around to get you an updated library is typically less that 24 hours.

There should be no issue with upgrading your current channel key in the console with more channels. Your Strand dealer should be able to sell you the upgrade certificate which you can then use to upgrade the key. The easiest way to handle this requires the current channel key to be installed in an internet connected Windows PC for the upgrade with the OLE software installed and then moved back to the console.

It is quite intentional that the OS on the console is locked down to prevent anyone outside of the factory from having admin rights. Installing drivers or additional software on the console is completely unsupported by Strand.

you can go onto the Strand website, under the support section and there is where you can request a fixture. Taine...you misspelled your web address.

Make sure you have the most recent software and THEN the most recent fixture library and then let us know what you need.

Taine is correct, you can upgrade your existing channel key so to have only one key if that is what you prefer to do.
