Attribute Control

Just trying to wrap my head around this a little better.

I have setup my cyc lights as 3 channel RGB fixtures. Following the example in the release notes for 10.8.3, I setup up an intensity submaster, followed by 3 submasters for each colour. In doing the submasters, I had to change the colour space to RGB and for red, had to turn green and blue down to 0% and then repeated this for each colour.

As soon as I bring up the red submaster, the green and blue levels jump to 100%. Bringing the green and blue submasters off of 0% then allows me to colour mix properly.

Is this correct or have I made a mistake in how I setup the submasters?

Great, I can mix colour on looks! But I see some potential concerns with running shows in a mixed situation of both cues and looks. If I have a cue that has a colour on the cyc and I nudge one of the colour look faders, it could screw up that colour very badly. Same thing if I have that cyc up in another look and nudge one of the colour look faders.

Another feature that I have mixed feelings on I guess.

Because our masters at horizon have set the default rgb that way, I wish they would change the base level to zero, it adds programming time to zero out the colors you don't want.

change your look type to Attribute Control for the looks that have the colors stored.
