Colour on faders

Post by pracc » Thu Feb 24, 2011 5:35 am

I've brought this up before, the response was that it wasn't possible. Thought I'd try again, although expecting the same result. This is something I'd really like to have. Is it possible to mix colour or between colours of an RGB fixture on faders?

Is there a way to stop the colour snapping between faders?
As a solution, could my desired faders act as a time fader between cues, and store colours in a cuelist?
Anyone have ideas for work arounds?

We use a lot of fixtures as RGB to make use of features in the desk, but find busking extremely painful as we can't move between colours with ease.
Snapping a cyc from blue to pink in a slow musical piece isn't highly desired.

If you right click the look then change colour time to manual that should do it for you. I think the default is snap to. You'll still need to set up a sub for each colour. We do this with a few fixtures and while it's not perfect it's relatively successful.
Let's just use the 23
