movinglight during transfert QtoQmove by step

Post by PierTis » Sun Oct 10, 2010 6:49 am

10.8.1 LP Vista
During show i've movement on Zoom or Iris Full to 0 and that pass step by step:
-manual i seems correct
-on anotherQlist (MLalone)it seems correct
-but in Cues during show that's open/close step by step

I try direct on DMX out from board
I try differents ML : ClayPaky profil 1500/VL3500

Any ideas?

After differents tests:
-DMX Out from board is OK
-Ethernet DMX from SN110 is not Good
-Ethernet DMX from LumenRadio is not Good

Problems around Cues running automatiquely come from Harware/setup (F8)A/B:SplitCrossfade
Cues begin to run and Halte (Pink):sensitive problem?

It sounds like there may be an Ethernet cable (or other) problem that is stopping some Ethernet DMX packets from reaching the nodes.

Please check the cable plugged into the console.

I've tested cableRJ45 it's not the problem.
i've tested with another LP same problem.

and i 've plug on a direct ligne from DMX out of the Bord some ML.it was OK in afternoon yesterday.
BUT during the show
i've again the problem and this morning again:Zoom from OtoPF in 4sec was not linear(littles halt ),Dimmer intensity not linear.
and it's never exacly the same movement..

- in Afternoon i've tested on another QList Fixture alone:it'was Ok
-in restitution on show it' not good

Is the patch routing shownet, artnet, dmx out can be able to make that?

I've looked at the show and it seems to be fine here ( although it's tough to tell). The routing is just fine and shouldn't be causing any issues.

Could there be a problem with the Ethernet hub you're using?

For you it's not the board?
it's around(even in DMX Out direct from board?)

To be sure Pierrick. In one post you write that the dmx from the board is fine and in your last post you write it is not ok. So what is it?
Why is your board running Vista. Did you upgrade yourself? I cannot imagine there is a stability improvement over xp. Windows 7 is a different story.

Furthermore. Using separate cuelists for conventionals and movers is a recipe for operator mistakes. I would combine them in one cuelist and see if your problems persist. If they do tracing the problem is easier.
